Buyer's Premium:

This collection consists of British earthenware pottery by Portmeirion, featuring the Pomona and Dawn patterns alongside a novelty teapot. The Pomona series items are decorated with botanical fruit motifs based on 19th-century illustrations and include lidded storage canisters of various sizes with wooden lids. Motifs present include Hoary Morning apple, Teinton Squash pear, Bigarreau cherry, L’Imperatrice plum, and Grimwood Royal George peach. Also included are a cylindrical redcurrant vase, a scalloped-edge cherry vase, a pepper shaker with plum decoration, and a cork-backed ceramic trivet. The Dawn series items, designed by Julie Ingham, comprise teacups, bowls, and saucers decorated with a lilac-toned stylized seed head pattern. A novelty teapot in the form of a Victorian delivery wagon is glazed in dark green with gilded highlights and features various miniature ceramic tea and coffee accessories including tiny teapots and crates. Markings include the orange circular Pomona backstamp featuring the goddess of fruit, the green oval Dawn wreath mark with designer attribution, and the oval Portmeirion factory mark to the side of the novelty teapot.

Condition report:

The collection is in overall good used condition. Ceramic components show no significant chips, cracks, or restorations. The wooden lids of the canisters exhibit minor surface wear and fading consistent with age and use. One teacup from the Dawn series has a small brown discolouration on the interior rim. The novelty teapot appears complete with all attached miniatures and includes its original hanging card tag.
