This lot consists of two pieces of Royal Crown Derby fine bone china decorated in the Old Imari pattern, number 1128. The first item is a small oval pin dish featuring twin handles and a scalloped rim. The decoration comprises the traditional Imari palette of cobalt blue and iron red, with hand-applied gilding. The central well displays a complex geometric and floral starburst motif, enclosed by alternating panels of stylized floral sprays and diaper patterns. The underside bears a red printed factory mark including the crown and D monogram, English Bone China, the pattern name Old Imari, and the number 1128. It also includes the Roman numeral date code LVIII for 1995, alongside hand-painted gilder marks in purple, gold, and blue.
The second item is a decorative table bell topped with a flame-shaped finial. The exterior is decorated en suite with the pin dish, featuring similar floral panels and elaborate gilding. The interior bears a red printed Royal Crown Derby backstamp, the pattern name Old Imari, the number 1128, and the Roman numeral date code LIV for 1991. Additional hand-painted marks in red, gold, and green are present within the bell.
Condition report:
Both items are in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The hand-applied gilding remains bright and exhibits no significant wear.
