Sold for: £4
A two-piece bedding set consisting of a white matelassé double bedspread and a matching square continental pillowcase. The items are crafted from a textured fabric featuring an all-over raised relief pattern of floral sprays and foliate scrollwork. Both the bedspread and the pillowcase are finished with decorative scalloped edges on all sides. This style of textile is synonymous with Portuguese manufacturing, as supported by an accompanying handwritten label stating the set was purchased in Portugal.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good, clean condition with no visible staining, discolouration, or fraying. The matelassé weave remains well-defined and the scalloped borders are intact.
