A collection of fourteen vintage Walt Disney Home Video VHS tapes housed in original plastic clamshell cases. This assortment includes a variety of titles from the Walt Disney Classics series and the Masterpiece Collection, produced for the United Kingdom market in PAL format. Each case displays the green Universal rating symbol from the British Board of Film Classification. The titles included in this lot are Lady and the Tramp, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Three Caballeros, The Rescuers Down Under, Fantasia, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Cinderella, 101 Dalmatians, The Rescuers, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Bambi, and Basil The Great Mouse Detective. The spines are decorated with character illustrations and bear individual production codes including D215242, D200912, D211422, D211322, D209132, D202452, D204102, D212632, D240642, D204762, D213252, D209422, and D213602. Most cases feature a circular Disney holographic security sticker near the base of the spine for authenticity.
Condition report:
The collection is in used condition consistent with age and previous use. The plastic clamshell cases exhibit surface scuffing and some light marks. The paper sleeve inserts show occasional creasing and edge wear. There is significant sun-fading and yellowing to several of the spines, most prominently visible on the cases for Sleeping Beauty and The Rescuers. The magnetic tapes have not been tested for playback quality.
