Five mahogany dining chairs constructed in the William IV style. Each chair features a curved bar top rail above a corresponding curved mid-rail. The front legs are turned with faceted detailing, while the rear legs are of a square-section sabre form. The chairs incorporate drop-in seats upholstered in a multi-coloured floral tapestry-style fabric with red, blue, and ochre tones, likely a later replacement. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are present.
Condition report:
The chairs show signs of age-related wear. The mahogany frames exhibit surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss, particularly to the rails and legs. The upholstery is in good condition with no visible tears or significant staining.
