This mid-20th-century coffee table is designed in the Queen Anne revival style with Chinoiserie decorative elements. Constructed from a stained hardwood, the table features a rectangular top with a protective glass insert. Beneath the glass, the central panel is decorated with a detailed hand-carved or etched scene depicting a traditional East Asian landscape. The design includes a large arched bridge in the foreground, multiple pagodas, stylised trees, and sailing junks in the distance, all framed by a cross-banded wood veneer border. The table is supported by four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The table is in good overall condition, showing light surface scratches to the glass and minor scuffing to the legs and feet, consistent with age and use.
