A vintage Hornby Dublo 00-gauge 3-rail electric model train set manufactured in England by Meccano Ltd. The collection includes a die-cast 0-6-0 tank locomotive finished in black British Railways livery with the running number 69567. Rolling stock consists of two passenger coaches made from lithographed tinplate in a brown and cream livery, and a red Vacuum oil tank wagon featuring Mobiloil branding. The set includes a collection of curved 3-rail track sections with integrated metal ballast bases. Also present is a grey metal Type A2 Power Control Unit with a label specifying an A.C. input of 220/250 volts and a D.C. output of 0-12 volts. The set is housed in its original cardboard box which features a colourful illustrated lid with a festive Merry Christmas border and an internal blue cardboard insert.
Condition report:
The set is in vintage, played-with condition. Surface dust, minor oxidation, and light scratches are visible across the locomotive, rolling stock, and track sections. The lithography on the tinplate coaches shows minor surface wear and small areas of paint loss. The electrical functionality of the locomotive and the power control unit has not been tested, and the power cord exhibits age-related wear to the insulation. The original box is in poor condition, showing significant tears, edge wear, and loss to the lid graphics. The internal blue cardboard insert is heavily damaged, torn, and incomplete.
