A collection of decorative ceramics and mixed media objects. The lot includes a partial tea service decorated with multi-coloured Chinoiserie-style floral and pagoda motifs and finished with gilded rims. This set includes tea cups, saucers, and a bowl. The collection features a group of small, glazed ceramic animal figurines in the style of Wade Whimsies, including representations of dogs, cats, polar bears, lions, and a crocodile. Also included is a circular blue jasperware lid with white bas-relief classical decoration, accompanied by a Know your Wedgwood pamphlet published by Josiah Wedgwood and Sons Limited. The lot contains large glazed ceramic figures of shire horses with harness detailing and a wooden model cart. Other items consist of novelty lidded jars shaped as children and marked JAM and MARMALADE, a blue glazed jug with white script reading drink a pinta milka day, several cream-coloured mugs, and figurines dressed in 18th-century style costume. A crown-shaped ceramic vessel and several other small figures are also present.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition. Surface dust is visible on most pieces. There is minor wear to the gilding on the tea service and some light surface wear to the figurines. The harnesses on the large horse figures show age-related wear. No major chips or cracks were noted upon visual inspection.
