An electric table lamp manufactured by the European brand Massive, designed in the style of traditional French art glass. The lamp features a mottled spatter glass base in a palette of terracotta, orange, and deep purple hues. The assembly includes a metal collar and a three-arm spider gallery which supports a large, bulbous white opal glass outer shade and a clear glass inner chimney. The black plastic electrical socket bears a manufacturer’s label for Massive, including model number 84669/71/97 and electrical specifications of 230 V – 50 Hz. The underside of the base displays several indistinct white markings that are not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The glass base, opal shade, and clear chimney appear to be in good overall condition with no visible cracks or significant chips. The metal fittings, including the gallery and collar, show surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age. The lamp is fitted with a modern electrical cord and plug. This is a second-hand electrical item and is sold as untested; it is recommended that the lamp be inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician before use.
