This mid-20th-century set features a minimalist modernist form with a plain white glaze and a thin silver-toned platinum band applied to the rims, handles, and lid finials. The collection includes an assortment of pieces such as a large circular lidded tureen with side handles, a cylindrical teapot, a lidded sugar bowl, a creamer, a rectangular lidded butter dish, double-handled soup bowls with matching saucers, tea cups with matching saucers, dinner plates, side plates, deep cereal bowls, egg cups, salt and pepper shakers, and large oval serving platters.
The pieces bear a green printed backstamp on the base consisting of the name Thomas above a horizontal line, with the word GERMANY followed by a dot below.
Condition report:
The service is in good used condition throughout. There is light surface dust and minor shelf wear consistent with age and storage. The silver-toned rims appear generally well-preserved. Minor surface marks are visible on the base of some pieces, but there are no apparent chips, cracks, or restorations.
