An assortment of decorative objects and collectibles featuring a George VI double-handled spirit measure of waisted form. The art glass group includes a stylized blue and clear glass dolphin in the Murano style, a glass snail with a blue spiral shell, a clear glass bird with outstretched wings, and a small fairy figurine positioned on a bubbled glass sphere. Two small clear glass animal figurines, a dolphin and a pig, contain encapsulated British coins. The collection further includes a blue spherical paperweight with controlled bubble inclusions, a tear-drop shaped paperweight with an amethyst core, and a faceted octagonal glass piece with a butterfly design. Metalware and desk accessories comprise a brass-toned letter opener with embossed foliate motifs, a small circular teal enameled box with a jewelled butterfly lid, and a rectangular glass dish in a metal frame decorated with blue geometric patterns in the Glasgow style. A WBL quartz desk clock is set within a circular glass frame on brushed metal feet. The lot is completed by decorative bottle stoppers, a cut glass condiment jar with a silver-plated lid and spoon, and a frosted glass candle holder with butterfly silhouettes.
Condition report:
The items generally appear to be in good vintage condition. One clear glass bell is noted to be missing its clapper. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible on the glass figurines or paperweights.
