The set also includes a three-piece carving set consisting of a knife, fork, and steel, as well as sugar tongs and several serving spoons and ladles. The forks, spoons, and serving pieces are silver-plated, while the knives feature cream-coloured handles and stainless steel blades. The blades positioned in the lid are stamped with vertical text including the word SHEFFIELD and a manufacturer name ending in LTD. The blades in the lower section are marked STAINLESS. The set is housed in a rectangular wooden case with a hinged lid and a russet-coloured fabric-lined interior with fitted compartments.
Condition report:
The wooden canteen shows significant signs of age and use, including heavy surface scratching, scuffing, and wear to the finish across the exterior. The interior fabric lining shows some indentations from the contents but remains in generally good order. The flatware is in used condition, with expected light surface scratching and minor tarnishing consistent with age.
