The mid-section is decorated with a horizontal frieze of four inset green-glazed ceramic tiles, situated above a central lidded glove box. The frame is fitted with metal double-prong coat hooks. The base incorporates an integrated umbrella or stick stand with a rectangular frame. The piece is constructed from solid oak with visible mortise and tenon joinery, characteristic of the period and style.
Condition report:
The item exhibits wear consistent with age and use. There is notable scuffing and loss of finish to the lower frame and feet. The metal drip tray is missing from the umbrella stand. The metal hooks show some surface oxidation. The mirror plate has minor foxing.
