A decorative neoclassical-style pedestal or plinth constructed from a moulded composite or ceramic material. The piece features a square capital and a matching square plinth base, both finished in a matte pastel pink or terracotta tone. The central fluted shaft is finished in white and is demarcated by grey or silver-toned annulated rings at the neck and foot. While web research suggests a possible attribution to Austin Productions, typical of 1980s decorative arts, no definitive maker marks were identified during inspection.
Condition report:
The pedestal shows visible signs of surface wear and age. There is scuffing and areas of discoloration to the pink surfaces of the top and base. The white fluted shaft displays minor marks and surface abrasions. A small adhesive label is present on one corner of the top surface. The structure remains stable.
