A circular brass tray table, designed in the Moorish or Moroccan style. The hand-chased brass tray top features a raised, textured rim and is decorated with intricate geometric and foliate motifs, centred by a large eight-pointed star. The tray is supported by a separate, folding dark-stained wooden spider-leg base. The four-legged base is joined by a central hinge and secured by brass chain stays.
Condition report:
The item is in used condition commensurate with age. The brass tray displays significant areas of tarnish and surface oxidation, alongside light surface scratching. The wooden base shows scuffs, minor chips, and wear to the dark finish, notably at the feet and joints. The folding mechanism and chain stays remain functional.
