A sterling silver ecclesiastical set by Thomas Pratt & Sons of London, consisting of a chalice and matching paten. The chalice is designed with a plain conical cup featuring a gilded vermeil interior, supported by a hexagonal stem with a central faceted knop and a spreading six-lobed foot. The accompanying circular paten features a wide, flat rim engraved with a simple cross. Both pieces are stamped PRATT & SONS / LONDON on the underside, with the paten bearing an additional T.P maker mark. The set is fully hallmarked with the London assay mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, and a lowercase date letter c.
Condition report:
The set is in sound structural condition with heavy surface tarnish and oxidation throughout. There are light surface scratches and minor scuffs consistent with age and use. The interior gilding of the chalice shows wear and dark spots.
