Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises an assortment of architectural and furniture hardware salvaged from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries. The items are constructed from various metals, including cast and stamped brass, wrought and cast iron, and potentially bronze. Key components include a large, ornate cast metal escutcheon or backplate decorated with scrolled acanthus leaves and a central shell motif, a long iron strap hinge with a dark finish and a circular boss, and multiple brass bail-style drawer handles with decorative backplates. The lot also contains a Victorian-style brass wall-mounted coat hook, several circular brass rosettes, and a large, rectangular dark-finished metal plate. A white inventory label marked W765M is affixed to the rectangular plate. Additional items include assorted furniture mounts, finials, and miscellaneous threaded bolts and components. No maker’s marks are visible on the pieces.

Condition report:

The hardware is in salvaged, as-found condition. All pieces show significant signs of age and wear, including surface scratches, oxidation, and verdigris. Surface corrosion is present on the iron elements. Some items appear to be incomplete components of larger assemblies.
