This collection of seven pieces of 20th-century decorative and art glass includes various styles reflecting European traditions. The group features two spatter glass baskets with ruffled rims and clear applied crimped handles; one small example with red, blue, and white mottling and a larger example with a multi-coloured yellow, orange, blue, and red palette. A Murano-style bi-colour glass dish displays a pink-to-purple translucent body with a folded, opalescent pale green rim. Also included is a cylindrical ruby glass vase with a repeating faceted geometric pattern cut through to clear glass. The collection contains two candlesticks, one in lavender-toned glass with a faceted stem and the other in clear glass with a spiralled stem and ribbed base. The final piece is a large Empoli-style decorative goblet vase featuring an opaque yellow cased glass bowl on an amber-coloured twisted stem. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The items are in generally good condition with no significant chips or cracks observed. Minor surface scratches and light shelf wear to the bases are consistent with age and use.
