An assortment of 12-inch and 7-inch vinyl records, primarily spanning pop, dance, new wave, and ska genres from the late 1970s to the early 2000s. The collection is housed in two distinct storage units. The first is a modern silver-toned aluminium DJ flight case featuring reinforced corners, butterfly latches, and a top carrying handle. It contains a group of approximately 50 to 70 12-inch singles and LPs. Featured artists include Madonna, represented by titles including Holiday, Like a Prayer, Dear Jessie, and a Virgin Import pressing of Lucky Star. Other notable inclusions are a Scissor Sisters Filthy/Gorgeous picture disc, singles by Cathy Dennis, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, Nomad, and Des’ree. Many sleeves retain original retailer labels from HMV and Virgin. The second unit is a vintage black storage trunk or transit case, constructed with hard vulcanised fibre and featuring metal-bound edges and reinforced corners secured with rivets. The hardware consists of a central plastic handle and metal latches. The interior is lined with a blue and white houndstooth patterned fabric. This case contains a large quantity of 7-inch singles, featuring artists such as Bad Manners (Samson and Delilah clear vinyl single), Toyah (Four From Toyah EP), Theatre of Hate, and Child.
Condition report:
The records have not been play-tested. The aluminium flight case shows minor external scuffs from use. Sleeves for the 12-inch records vary from good to very good condition, with some exhibiting shelf wear, edge creasing, and adhesive residue from original retail stickers. The vintage trunk shows significant age-related wear to the exterior, including scuffing and oxidation to the metal components, and staining to the interior fabric lining. A portion of the 7-inch singles are unsleeved and show visible surface marks. Picture sleeves for the 7-inch records show typical handling wear, including ring wear and minor tearing.
