A collection of two portable radio units. The first is a Panasonic model RF-D7 DAB/FM digital radio, featuring a silver-coloured plastic housing with a perforated metal speaker grille. It is equipped with a two-line LCD dot-matrix display and top-mounted controls including power, band selection, five preset buttons, tuning, and volume knobs, plus a slow speech mode function. The unit includes a telescopic antenna, an integrated carry handle, and an attached mains power cable. The second unit is a vintage Grundig Music Boy multi-band analogue radio. The cabinet features a wood-grain effect horizontal-slat front panel with silver-tone trim and a lower metal speaker grille. The analogue tuning scale displays LW, MW/AM, SW, and FM frequency bands with various European station locations. It bears the Grundig and Music Boy badges and is marked Foreign Made on the tuning face. Control is provided via top-mounted push buttons for band selection and dual knobs for tuning and volume/tone. It features a black plastic and metal carry handle and a telescopic antenna.
Condition report:
The Panasonic radio appears in good used condition with minor surface marks. The Grundig radio shows signs of age and wear consistent with a vintage electronic item, including surface dust and light scuffs to the casing; a small wire and clip are currently attached to the base of the telescopic antenna. Neither unit has been tested for working order.
