An ornate triptych desk mirror of contemporary manufacture, styled in the Baroque or Rococo-revival manner. The piece features a large central rectangular panel flanked by two smaller hinged side panels. The frame is constructed from a moulded composite material with a matt black finish, decorated with scrolling foliate and acanthus leaf motifs at the corners and centres, and a beaded inner border. This design is consistent with modern reproductions such as the Ella model. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The mirror glass is in good condition, showing surface dust and light smudging. The composite frame shows minor surface wear and small scuffs to the matt finish, consistent with use.
