Buyer's Premium:

The lot comprises a varied collection of vintage and antique items. Central to the group are two large two-tone salt-glazed stoneware spirit jars from Plymouth merchants. The first jar is for W. Derry and Co, Wine and Spirit Merchants, Plymouth, featuring impressed lettering and the reference number 2494; it retains a cork stopper. The second jar is marked for Square and Stidston, Merchants, Plymouth, and bears an impressed maker mark for J.C. Hanley, Bristol, positioned below a numeral 2. There is an assortment of ceramic bonsai pots in varied forms such as rectangular, oval, and hexagonal shapes, finished in various glazes including green, teal, and cream, or left as unglazed terracotta. A vintage black-painted sheet metal lantern is included, featuring a large circular lens and a top carrying handle. The lot is completed by a wooden walking cane with a bamboo-style shaft and a metal collar.

Condition report:

The stoneware jars show typical surface staining, minor scuffs, and small firing imperfections consistent with age and industrial use, but they remain structurally sound. The bonsai pots show some soil residues and mineral deposits from prior use. The metal lantern exhibits significant oxidation, surface rust, and paint wear. The walking cane displays minor surface scratches to the wood and tarnishing to the metal collar.
