Buyer's Premium:

An assortment of seven framed items comprising military interest pieces, topographical prints, and original artworks. The military selection includes a framed set of cigarette cards, likely from the John Player and Sons Regimental Colours and Cap Badges series, depicting approximately 50 various British Army units including the Grenadier Guards and Royal Horse Guards. Also included is a Royal Engineers commemorative illustrative print featuring the corps title in red and displaying various service roles such as diving, welding, drafting, and bridge building. A single white-metal star-burst pattern cap badge is mounted on a green fabric background within a dark wood frame. The topographical and art items include a monochrome print inscribed in pencil View of Drake’s or Saint Nicholas Island off Plymouth, an original watercolour of a coastal landscape with beached boats signed Bill Berry and dated 52, a pen and ink drawing of a Venetian canal scene with gondolas signed A. Fletcher, and a small watercolour of a harbour scene with several rowing boats.

Condition report:

The collection is in mixed condition. Most significantly, the glass in the frame for the Drake\'s Island print is severely cracked and requires replacement; the print itself exhibits foxing and staining to the margins. The cigarette card set shows minor misalignment of some cards within the mount. The Bill Berry watercolour and the harbour scene show light paper toning and minor fading. The frames across the group show typical age-related surface wear, scuffing, and minor losses to the finishes.
