A mid-to-late 20th-century coffee table in the rustic style. The piece is constructed from a single, thick, solid hardwood slab featuring a live edge and a deep reddish-orange grain with natural figure. The top surface retains an irregular organic perimeter and displays natural characteristics including knots and a longitudinal split following the grain line. The table is supported by three darkly stained, tapered wooden peg legs. No maker’s marks or labels are present.
Condition report:
The table is in a used condition with surface wear. The top shows a prominent circular ring mark, likely caused by heat or liquid, situated on the right-hand side. There are multiple surface scuffs, small marks, and unevenness in the finish. Natural fissures and knots are present within the timber. The legs show minor wear and scuffing around the feet.
