This lot consists of a vintage home computer system manufactured by Commodore Business Machines (CBM). The primary component is the Commodore 64 breadbin style microcomputer. The unit is presented in its original retail box, which features multi-lingual text including the Italian phrase Alta risoluzione grafica e sintetizzatore di suono and the multi-coloured 64 logo.
Included in the set is a Commodore C2N Datasette Unit, Model 1530, designed for data storage on audio cassettes. This peripheral comes with its original cardboard retail box and internal polystyrene packaging. The collection features two original manuals: the blue spiral-bound Commodore 64 User’s Guide and the Commodore 64 Programmer’s Reference Guide.
The system is powered by an original wedge-style power supply unit (PSU) with an embossed Commodore logo and a standard UK three-pin plug. Connectivity is provided by an included RF video cable. One Computer Cassette C12 data tape is also present. The computer console and peripheral housings are constructed from moulded plastic. The main console is housed within its factory protective plastic bag and supported by original polystyrene inserts.
Condition report:
The set is in well-preserved condition with the main console and Datasette unit appearing to have seen minimal use. The computer console remains in its protective plastic bag. Both original retail boxes show signs of age-related shelf wear, including scuffing, creasing at the corners, and minor surface marking. The internal polystyrene inserts are present and largely intact. The two manuals show typical signs of handling and storage wear to the covers and edges. The electronic components, power supply, and recording functions have not been tested for operation. The lot is sold as seen.
