Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises an assortment of vintage and antique barware, featuring several notable examples of corkscrews and bottle openers. A prominent item is a multi-lever expanding corkscrew embossed with the name ZIG ZAG, a French patent design attributed to Jules Bart. Also included is a flat metal bottle opener featuring printed Guinness advertising artwork of a toucan with a pint of stout, equipped with a folding corkscrew on the reverse. The group includes a cast metal novelty corkscrew in the form of a pig, a brass-toned bottle opener in the shape of the Eiffel Tower, and a folding corkscrew with the handle inscribed MATERA. Additional pieces include a standard double-lever winged corkscrew, a T-shaped corkscrew with a wide curved handle, a corkscrew with a large bulbous chrome-finished handle, and the visible portion of a heavy-duty cast-iron cork extractor mechanism.

Condition report:

The items are in used vintage condition, showing general signs of age and wear. Visible characteristics include surface scratches, pitting to the chrome and nickel plating, and patches of oxidation or light rust on steel components. The printed graphic on the Guinness advertising opener exhibits some paint loss and surface abrasions. All mechanical parts appear intact, though movement and functionality have not been formally tested.
