A Sanyo Model G-2615H-2 portable stereo music centre, manufactured in Japan, circa 1970s. The all-in-one system is housed in a black textured hardshell briefcase-style case featuring chrome-finished hardware and a central carrying handle embossed with the Sanyo name. The unit incorporates a three-speed turntable for 33, 45, and 78 RPM records, an 8-track cartridge player, and a cassette deck with an auto stop system. It further includes a three-band radio receiver for FM, SW, and MW frequencies, with an analog tuning dial and a signal/battery level meter. The lid is detachable to form two separate speakers, finished with teal-coloured woven fabric grilles and silver-toned trim marked Sanyo Stereo Music Centre. The control panel provides rotary knobs for power, band selection, function, bass, treble, balance, volume, and recording volume, as well as a microphone mixing input and a headphone jack.
Condition report:
The item is in fair to poor vintage condition with significant evidence of use and age. The exterior case shows numerous scuffs and scratches, and there is surface oxidation present on the metal latches. Internally, the unit is dusty and has adhesive tape residue on the turntable deck. The cassette deck is missing its external plastic door. The tonearm is currently held in place by a non-original rubber band. This item has not been tested for electronic or mechanical functionality and is sold for parts or restoration only.
