A collection of vintage decorative brassware, primarily comprising cast and spun brass items. The group includes a footed trumpet-shaped vase featuring a bulbous mid-section with a rope-twist border, resting on a circular pedestal base. Also included are matching candlesticks with turned stems and flared bases. The collection features several horse figures in various poses and a model of a horse-drawn ladder cart with spoked wheels. The cart is accompanied by a figure of a man seated upon a barrel, which appears to be fashioned from a contrasting material such as wood or patinated metal. Completing the group is a footed cup featuring fine etched foliate decoration around the bowl. No maker’s marks or signatures were observed on the items.
Condition report:
The items show an aged patina throughout with areas of surface tarnish, light scratching, and minor verdigris consistent with age and previous display. The pieces appear structurally intact.
