This lot features a diverse collection of garden and decorative ceramics alongside a metal plant stand. The collection is led by a tall, cylindrical earthenware umbrella stand, hand-painted with green, blue, and pink foliate and floral motifs on a cream ground, further accented with blue bands and scattered linear patterns. It is sold together with several walking sticks and umbrellas. The tiered stand is of black-painted metal construction with curved supports, featuring a circular upper tier inset with a blue and white geometric mosaic tile top. The lower tier supports a ceramic pot containing an artificial floral arrangement of roses and smaller blossoms. Included in the assortment are various ceramic planters of differing forms, including a large cream-glazed vessel decorated with a bird on a flowering branch, an octagonal white pot, and a relief-decorated pot with grapevine motifs. Also present is a novelty figural pot with a shepherd and sheep, a terracotta bowl containing a two-tone ceramic decorative orb and a wire hanging basket frame, a stone-effect perpetual calendar, and a metal filigree vessel.
Condition report:
The umbrella stand has a significant and visible chip to the upper rim. General surface wear, dirt, and minor crazing are present across several ceramic items, consistent with age and outdoor/indoor use. The metal stand shows minor scuffing to the paintwork. Artificial flowers show some fading and dust.
