This lot comprises an assortment of domestic furniture and storage solutions from the mid-to-late 20th century. The primary piece is a modular four-tier shelving unit in the style of the West Elm ‘Ozzy’ range, featuring a chrome-plated tubular metal frame with four ribbed wooden shelf inserts. Accompanying this is a rectangular hardwood side table with a secondary lower shelf and tapered legs, finished in a dark mahogany-coloured stain. The collection also includes a small wooden storage chest of slatted construction, possibly pine, with a reddish-brown stain and metal hinges, alongside a folding wooden tray top with rounded edges. Several pieces bear small white identification labels, but no maker’s marks, stamps, or retailer labels are clearly legible.
Condition report:
The items are in fair condition, exhibiting signs of age and regular domestic use. Surface wear across the pieces includes various scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish degradation, particularly to the table tops. The chrome frame of the shelving unit shows minor surface marking and light oxidation. The interior of the storage trunk shows some discolouration and marking. No major structural damage is visible.
