Buyer's Premium:

This is an extensive collection of science fiction and fantasy books, predominantly comprising mass-market and trade paperback editions. The collection features a substantial representation of works by major authors in the genre. Notable inclusions consist of multiple volumes by Isaac Asimov, including titles from the Foundation series, The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, and The Robots of Dawn. Other prominent authors represented include Terry Pratchett (Monstrous Regiment), J.R.R. Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings), William Gibson (Mona Lisa Overdrive, Burning Chrome), Stephen King (The Gunslinger), H.G. Wells (The Shape of Things to Come), and Brian Aldiss (Last Orders, Moreau’s Other Island). The collection further includes works by Piers Anthony, Ben Bova, Julian May, Katharine Kerr, Janny Wurts, and Alan Dean Foster, as well as several Doctor Who tie-in novels. The books are issued by various UK publishers including Panther, Granada, Corgi, Orbit, Grafton, and Millennium. Most volumes are duodecimo or octavo in size and are bound in original pictorial paper wrappers.

Condition report:

The collection shows general shelf wear consistent with age and handling. Many volumes exhibit significant spine creasing, rubbing, and minor chipping to the cover edges. Bumped corners and some minor tearing to the wrappers are evident on several books. There is widespread age-related browning and toning to the paper blocks, characteristic of mass-market paperback editions of this period. Some volumes show a slight lean to the spine.
