Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises a variety of decorative planters and a metal charger. A primary item is a large porcelain fish bowl planter, attributed to the Chinese style, decorated in a Famille Rose palette. The exterior features panels of peaches, blossoms, and foliage against a vibrant blue ground, with a decorative floral border on a black ground around the rim. The interior is white-glazed and painted with goldfish amongst aquatic plants. The lot also includes an octagonal white-glazed planter with yellow ground panels featuring blue floral sprays, accompanied by a black plastic drip tray. A substantial fluted stoneware planter of rounded square form is finished in a pale green glaze with a buff-coloured interior. There is a group of three contemporary stoneware pots with incised sgraffito-style decoration, including two olive-green glazed pots with stylized floral motifs and one blue-grey glazed pot with berry and leaf designs. A cylindrical planter features a bright yellow glaze with white slip-trailed scroll-work and lyre-like motifs, displaying significant overall crazing. The collection further includes a terracotta pot painted in bright green with a hand-painted band of multi-coloured garden flowers and a matching saucer. Completing the lot is a circular brass-toned metal dish or charger, featuring an etched design of a dragon encircling a central stylized character. No maker’s marks or factory stamps were observed on these items.

Condition report:

The items are in generally good used condition. All planters show signs of previous use, including internal soil residue and surface dirt. The yellow cylindrical planter exhibits heavy crazing to the glaze, which appears consistent with manufacture or age rather than structural damage. Minor surface abrasions and weathering consistent with garden and indoor use are present across the lot. No significant chips, cracks, or professional repairs were noted upon visual inspection.
