This lot comprises two decorative prints. The first is a framed print depicting an impressionist garden scene with a house doorway, after the original work Kennebunkport Doorway by Abbott Fuller Graves. This specific version bears a vertical signature for Hans Pauls in dark pigment to the lower right-hand corner. The composition features a white-cladded house with green shutters and a fanlight window above the door, almost entirely obscured by a profusion of flowering vines in shades of pink, yellow, and blue. It is presented behind glass in a contemporary pale green-painted wooden frame with an off-white mount. The second item is a large-format contemporary reproduction of the theatrical poster for the 1939 cinematic classic Gone With The Wind. It is a digital giclée print on canvas, gallery-wrapped over a wooden stretcher frame with corner and centre bracing. The graphic features the iconic illustration of Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh against a vivid red and orange sunset backdrop, with the lower portion containing the film title and full billing of the cast and crew. Logos for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and United Artists are visible in the bottom right corner. The reverse reveals a professional wooden frame with pre-installed hanging hardware. Neither item shows visible edition numbering.
Condition report:
The framed print is in good overall condition; the frame exhibits very minor scuffs to the edges consistent with handling, and the mount remains clean. The canvas reproduction is in very good condition with the canvas tightly stretched over the bars; there is minor rubbing and light colour loss at the extreme corners from handling. Both items show a light accumulation of surface dust.
