Four mid-20th-century wall mirrors comprising one framed example and a pair of frameless mirrors. The framed mirror is of rectangular form, housed in a slender dark-toned hardwood frame with mitred corners. The pair of frameless mirrors are of tall vertical orientation with rounded upper corners, characteristic of side wings from a mid-century triptych dressing table. Each of the frameless mirrors is mounted onto a plywood backing and secured with metal clips. No maker marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the frames or backing boards.
Height: approximately 100cm – 120cm.
Condition report:
The framed mirror shows minor surface scuffs to the wooden frame and the mirror plate is generally clear. The pair of frameless mirrors exhibit significant age-related deterioration, including widespread foxing and silvering loss around the peripheries. One of the frameless mirrors displays a prominent area of desilvering at one end.
