A large studio pottery stoneware floor lamp by Lloyd Lamps. The tall, cylindrical body is elaborately decorated with a combination of deeply carved relief work and reticulated sections. The central body features a dense, organic pattern of scrolling forms and circular eye motifs, set between a diagonally ribbed upper section and a base decorated with vertical rows of small pierced holes. The lamp is finished in a speckled, matte-buff stoneware. The base bears an impressed rectangular mark which reads LLOYD LAMPS. The item is fitted with a white electrical cord and an internal bulb socket located at the base. As a used electrical item, it is sold as a decorative object only and must be tested and/or rewired by a qualified electrician prior to use.
Dimensions: Not specified, floor-standing scale.
Condition report:
The ceramic body appears to be in good overall condition with no major chips or cracks visible. There is a significant accumulation of surface dust and cobwebs within the deeply carved and pierced sections.
