Buyer's Premium:

A collection of pictures comprising several framed prints and one large printed informational poster. The collection features two humorous illustrations after Lawson Wood (British, 1878-1957) titled ‘Collared and Cuffed’ and ‘Caught’, both bearing signatures in the plate. These works depict a crying child with a policeman and a child fishing while an adult’s hand reaches over a fence, respectively. Also included is a sporting print titled ‘The Winning Putt’ by Kevin Walsh (British, b. 1950), signed in the plate, depicting a historical golfing scene outside a clubhouse. A further framed print shows a young boy in Victorian attire playing cricket in a garden setting, bearing an artist’s signature in the plate. The framed works are presented in a variety of wooden and gilt-finished frames with card mounts. The lot is completed by a large printed poster titled ‘Decorations, Medals and Badges of the Third Reich’, which provides an illustrated guide to military awards and insignia from the period, mounted to a backing board.

Condition report:

The collection is in fair condition overall. There is noticeable water staining and discolouration to the lower portion of the card mount on the Kevin Walsh golf print. The frames show general wear commensurate with age, including minor nicks, surface scratches, and abrasions to the finishes. The Third Reich poster exhibits some surface undulation and light creasing.
