A Seiko Sonola transistorised wall clock of Japanese manufacture. The clock is housed in a rectangular dark-stained wooden case with a hinged glass front door. The dial features a decorative wood-grain effect with a recessed concentric square pattern and applied cream-coloured three-dimensional Arabic numerals. The dial is marked SEIKO at the 12 o’clock position, TRANSISTOR above the 6 o’clock position, and JAPAN at the bottom edge. Apertures at the 6 o’clock position display the day and date calendar complication. Time is indicated by two wide, white-painted hands with central linear cutouts. The lower section of the door features a textured silver-toned band above a clear glass panel decorated with white linear and starburst motifs, through which a pendulum is visible. The interior of the case reveals the day and date wheel mechanisms and the pendulum bob. The clock is powered by a battery-operated transistor movement.
Condition report:
The clock shows signs of age-related wear, including minor scuffing and scratches to the wooden case and dust accumulation within the interior. Functionality, including timekeeping, calendar progression, and any chime or strike mechanisms, has not been tested and is not guaranteed.
