This 2023 commemorative Five Pound coin from the Bailiwick of Jersey celebrates the coronation of King Charles III. The obverse features a left-facing uncrowned portrait of the King, with the inscription CHARLES III · BAILIWICK OF JERSEY · 2023 · around the perimeter. The reverse displays the royal cypher CIII R surmounted by the Tudor Crown, flanked by stylized acanthus leaves, and is inscribed KING CHARLES III CORONATION and FIVE POUNDS. Struck in a silver-toned metal with a proof finish, the coin exhibits mirror-like fields and frosted relief. The item is housed in a clear protective acrylic capsule and presented in a black velvet-lined case. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity stating that this coin is part of a limited edition of 4,995 pieces.
Condition report:
The coin is in uncirculated proof condition, showing high lustre and no visible signs of wear, marks, or toning when inspected through the capsule. The presentation box and certificate remain in good order.
