A Danbury Mint commemorative silver round from The History of Britain collection. Struck in .999 fine silver, the piece features a proof-like finish with frosted relief against mirrored fields. The obverse displays a portrait of Winston Churchill giving the V for Victory salute, set against a backdrop of Spitfire aircraft and a cross, with the inscriptions VE DAY, 1945, and a transcription of his address: MY DEAR FRIENDS, THIS IS YOUR HOUR… IT’S A VICTORY OF THE GREAT BRITISH NATION AS A WHOLE. The reverse features a seated figure of Britannia with a trident and Union Jack shield, surrounded by the text THE HISTORY OF BRITAIN and 1 oz . 999 FINE SILVER.

The round is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule. It exhibits a proof-like finish with mirrored fields and frosted relief. A small white mark, consistent with a milk spot, is visible on the reverse field near the figure\'s head. The plastic capsule shows minor surface scuffing and scratches.
