A 2021 Gibraltar The Silver Shield Sovereign struck in .999 fine silver. The coin is executed with a proof finish featuring frosted relief elements set against mirrored fields. The obverse bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the circumscribed legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA GIBRALTAR 2021. The reverse features a crowned heraldic shield of the Royal Arms, an intentional historical recreation of the 1817 sovereign design, surrounded by the legend BRITANNIARUM REX FID DEF. The coin is contained within a clear plastic protective capsule and is presented in a black velvet-lined hinged case with an outer black cardboard sleeve printed with THE SILVER SHIELD SOVEREIGN and a crowned shield emblem.
Condition report:
Uncirculated condition as issued, displaying full original mint lustre and no visible signs of wear, toning, or handling marks. The presentation packaging is in excellent state.
