A 2025 gold proof Sovereign struck by the Royal Mint, UK. The coin is composed of 22-carat gold and features the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings on the obverse. The obverse legend reads CHARLES III DEI GRA REX FID DEF 2025. The reverse depicts a tribute to the 1825 crowned Royal Arms design by Jean Baptiste Merlen, featuring the legend ARMA GEORGII IV BRITANNIARUM REGIS. The coin exhibits a proof strike with a cameo appearance. It is housed in the original Royal Mint wooden presentation case with a black velvet-lined interior, cream and purple outer sleeves, and includes the Certificate of Authenticity numbered 2528. This issue is part of a limited edition presentation of 5,000 within a maximum mintage of 7,035.
