Estimated price: £3 - £5

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of porcelain military figurines depicting various French Napoleonic-era soldiers and officers in regimental uniforms. The figures are glazed and hand-painted with gilded accents. Notable markings include one base inscribed in black script with Officier de Cavalerie and another featuring a gilded N mark enclosed within a laurel wreath. A suite of cut crystal stemware comprises wine glasses and taller champagne flutes, decorated with a diamond-cut pattern to the lower bowl, vertical flutes to the upper portion, and faceted stems. The lot also includes a monochrome amber-glazed ceramic Toby jug depicting a seated character, a pair of turned brass candlesticks with circular bases, and two decorative porcelain plates. The first plate has a scalloped gilded rim and a central floral spray, while the second features four red panels containing a stylized Chinese prosperity character, surrounded by floral motifs and a dark blue border.

Condition report:

The porcelain military figurines appear generally intact with minor wear to the painted surfaces and gilded highlights. The Toby jug has a significant and visible chip to the front right rim of the tricorn hat. The brass candlesticks show heavy surface tarnishing throughout. The cut crystal glassware appears to be in good structural condition without visible chips or cracks, although the items are dusty and require cleaning. The decorative plates show light surface wear and minor rubbing to the gilded edges.
