A Tesco model MS1701 FM Micro System comprising a central main unit and a pair of matching bookshelf speakers. The main unit features a top-loading CD player with official Compact Disc Digital Audio branding, an integrated FM radio tuner covering 87.5 to 108 MHz, and a front-mounted LCD display. The control interface includes a large central silver rotary volume dial and push-button controls for mode, random playback, repeat/preset, and program/memory functions, alongside standard playback controls. A 3.5mm headphone jack is located on the lower front panel. The rear of the unit features an FM wire antenna, spring-clip speaker terminals, and a hardwired power lead. Technical specifications include a power input rating of AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz. The system is finished in glossy black plastic and bears manufacturer labelling indicating it was produced in China for Tesco Stores Ltd., Welwyn Garden City.
Condition report:
The system exhibits significant surface dust, fingerprints, and light cosmetic scuffs throughout the glossy black plastic casing. A white adhesive inventory sticker marked T938E is affixed to the front panel. All necessary speaker cables and the power lead appear to be present and attached. The functional power-on and playback status of this unit has not been tested.
