Buyer's Premium:

An assortment of 20th-century pop culture items including comics, books, glassware, and media. The collection features a group of The Beano annuals and periodicals published by D.C. Thomson and Co. Ltd., consisting of hardback and softback volumes with blue and yellow spines, including a volume titled The Beano Awards. Other periodicals include Beau Peep Book 15 and Book 16 published by Pedigree, and a The Simpsons comic book featuring Bart and Lisa Simpson.

The fiction component comprises various titles including Elephants Can Remember by Agatha Christie, Doctor Who and the Loch Ness Monster by Terrance Dicks, The Rising Storm by Dennis Wheatley, a hardcover edition of Gerald’s Game by Stephen King, and The Stone Idol (The Hardy Boys Casefiles No. 63) by Franklin W. Dixon.

Glassware consists of a trio of conical glasses featuring Homer Simpson designs. One glass includes the text MMM… BEER! and is marked TM and copyright 1999 FOX. A second glass features a brain diagram with text including Sleep, Donuts, and Sweet Beer, marked TM and copyright 2000 FOX HAW GROENING. The third glass depicts Homer with a Duff Beer and the text BEER, NOW THERE IS A TEMPORARY SOLUTION.

The media selection includes a group of VHS tapes in PAL format featuring Walt Disney Classics titles Fantasia and The Jungle Book, several The Simpsons compilation tapes including the Too Hot for TV special, and other titles including The Beano Video, Tom and Jerry’s Special Bumper Collection, and Viz titles The Fat Slags and Sid the Sexist. A Dennis the Menace Fan Club pin badge is also included.


Condition report:

The collection is in used, second-hand condition throughout with varying degrees of shelf wear. Books and comics show general bumping to corners and spine creasing; notably, The Rising Storm by Dennis Wheatley shows significant loss and tearing to the top of the spine. Glassware appears in good condition without visible chips or cracks. VHS cases show age-related wear, scuffing, and some original retail price stickers.
