A collection of vintage electronic tabletop and handheld games and accessories from the late 1970s and early 1980s. The group includes a Grandstand Astro Wars tabletop electronic game, featuring a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) housed in a silver-coloured and black plastic casing with integrated joystick and fire button. Also included is a Tomytronic 3-D Stereo Skyfighters handheld game by Tomy, designed in a binocular style with a 3D VFD display and an original black neck strap. The lot further contains an Entex Electronics Super Cobra tabletop VFD game with a cream and black plastic housing and various control switches. The gaming accessories comprise a Spectravideo QuickShot II Turbo joystick in its original red and black cardboard retail box, and a Binatone TV Master MK IV dedicated home video game console (Model 01-4974), licensed by Magnavox USA, also in its original orange and white cardboard packaging.
Condition report:
The items show varying degrees of vintage wear. The Grandstand Astro Wars unit displays surface dust, minor scuffing to the screen area, and a small handwritten adhesive label to the lower front. The Tomytronic 3-D game appears in good vintage condition with minor surface dust. The Entex Super Cobra unit shows significant age-related yellowing to the cream plastic and the joystick is missing its original plastic topper. The QuickShot II Turbo box exhibits heavy edge wear, creasing, and minor tearing, while the Binatone console box is in poor condition with heavy crushing, tears, tape residue, and a large adhesive label to the front. All electronic items are sold as seen and are currently untested for functionality.
