Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises a diverse collection of mid-20th-century paper ephemera and miscellaneous household items of primarily British origin. The collection includes a variety of postcards such as a colour printed card of the LNER Class A4 locomotive Mallard, a vintage colour view titled Panoramic view of Davos from the cable-car railway, a modern postcard depicting penguins, and several monochrome photographic cards. One real photo postcard features a studio portrait with the imprint of L. Partington, Bath St. Southport. Included is a substantial bundle of vintage British Rail paper tickets, notably a return ticket from Marks Tey priced at 2.85 pounds with serial number 6863. Printed matter features a Texas Instruments TI-33 scientific calculator instructional manual, a Bird Fact Sheet Volume One with ornithological illustrations, and a fragmentary pamphlet cover for Y’s Map Lds. A mounted piece of calligraphic text in Latin script reads Et terra: com / plenitudo eius: / i omnia que in. The lot also contains two ornate cast brass components for wall sconces or candle holders with scroll and foliate openwork designs, a blue-handled waiter’s friend style corkscrew, and a small wooden tray.

Condition report:

The paper ephemera is in generally fair to good condition, showing expected age-related yellowing, bumped corners, and edge wear. The brass items exhibit significant surface tarnish, oxidation, and accumulated dust within the decorative recesses. Other items show typical signs of handling and use consistent with age.
