This lot comprises two vintage home entertainment units manufactured by Sony and Panasonic. The first item is a Sony PS-LX56 automatic stereo turntable system. Constructed with a dark grey plastic cabinet, it features a belt-drive mechanism, two-speed operation for 33 and 45 rpm records, and an automatic tonearm return system. The unit is fitted with a hinged, smoke-tinted acrylic dust cover and includes the original rubber platter mat. The manufacturer label on the rear identifies the model and specifies a serial number of YA6729680. The second item is a Panasonic NV-HV61EB VHS video cassette recorder. Finished in a silver-toned housing, this Super Drive model features Hi-Fi NICAM stereo sound, 35x jet search, and Video Plus+ and PDC compatibility. The rear panel is equipped with twin SCART sockets, RCA audio outputs, and RF terminals. The unit was manufactured in Germany with serial number 14ZA15116 and is configured for the UK market.
Condition report:
Both units are offered in an untested state for electronic functionality. The Sony turntable shows significant surface scratching and scuffing to the acrylic dust cover. The tonearm is present, though the presence and condition of the stylus are unverified. The Panasonic VCR exhibits minor surface wear and dust consistent with age and storage. It is supplied without a remote control or original documentation.
