An assortment of decorative objects comprising glassware, ceramics, and various commemorative items. The lot includes a pair of tall tapered glass vases with graduated green to pink hues, featuring four-footed metal bases with marks to the rims. Ceramic pieces include a polychrome figurine of a peasant girl carrying a jug, blue and white Jasperware-style lidded box and dish, and various crested china pieces, including a City of London obelisk and an England coat of arms shell. Historical items include a pair of tin commemorative mugs for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, printed with a portrait of the monarch and the inscription THE QUEEN’S EARLIEST RESOLVE I WILL BE GOOD 1837, dated 1837 – 1897 and marked MADE IN AUSTRIA to the base. The collection is further composed of a red art glass pitcher, a yellow faceted glass bowl, a Spanish bullfighting souvenir mug, a novelty A ROUND TUIT ceramic plate with printed text, a banded stone egg on a stand, and a polished agate slice.
Condition report:
The items show surface dust and signs of age-related wear throughout. The metal components, specifically the vase bases and tin commemorative mugs, exhibit tarnish and surface oxidation. Minor shelf wear is present on the bases of the ceramic and glass pieces. No significant structural damage, chips, or cracks are visible upon inspection.
