This collection of music memorabilia features items related to the rock band Genesis and associated artists Peter Gabriel, Robert Palmer, and The Power Station. The lot contains nine VHS tapes: Peter Gabriel POV (case features a white label marked T938E); Genesis The Video Show Volume 1; Robert Palmer Super Nova (bearing the PMI logo); Genesis The Video Show Volume 2; Robert Palmer video addictions; Genesis Live: The Mama Tour (case features a white label marked T938E); Genesis The Invisible Touch Tour; Genesis A History; and The Power Station Video (produced by Music Club). Printed ephemera includes a large format Genesis Calling All Stations tour programme and a promotional booklet for the single Congo featuring a blue-toned ant graphic. A promotional flyer for Tavistock Wharf and genesisconnected.com is also present. The apparel consists of two black cotton t-shirts. The first features a grayscale portrait of Peter Gabriel with text for Growing Up. The second is a Genesis Calling All Stations Europe 1998 tour shirt, with the reverse listing tour locations including Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Manchester, Dublin, Brussels, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Stuttgart, and Zurich.
Condition report:
The items are in used, vintage condition. VHS cases show standard shelf wear, rubbing to the edges, and adhesive residue from previous labels. Printed programmes show signs of handling, including edge wear and a prominent diagonal crease to the upper right corner of the Congo booklet. The apparel is in worn condition with visible fading to the fabric and printed graphics consistent with age and use. All VHS tapes are sold as untested for playback quality.
