An Imperial large-scale rectangular wall mirror featuring a bevelled glass plate. The frame is designed in a decorative Rococo-Baroque style with a deeply moulded pattern of scrolling acanthus leaves and foliage, finished in an antiqued silver tone. The inner edge of the frame is bordered by a continuous bead-and-reel motif. The reverse of the mirror is fitted with a compressed fibreboard backboard which retains an original manufacturer label. This label features the Imperial diamond-shaped logo and the text mirrors and frames of distinction, alongside hanging instructions. A purple ink date stamp on the backboard reads ENTERED 13 AUG 1998 with the serial number 835890.
Condition report:
The frame is in good overall condition, showing minor surface dust and light wear consistent with storage. The silvered finish remains bright and intact. The bevelled mirror plate is clear and well-preserved with no visible signs of foxing, silvering loss, or scratches. There is a small patch of adhesive residue on the lower edge of the mirror glass.
